Sean is the President and Financial Planner at HD Financial Specialists. He has been active in the financial services industry since 2007 and has always envisioned a synergized group of specialists, all under one roof, to create focused plans for clients. Sean is devoted to maintaining the highest standards of dedication, integrity, and professionalism with his clients, ensuring that each client receives premier service.

Over his career, Sean has built a successful, client-centric business in Western New York. He is a firm believer in regular client communication. Sean actively builds his client relationships, believing that investors should be informed on market trends, their specific portfolio’s risks and investment goals on a regular basis.

Sean works with individual clients, high net worth individuals and businesses alike, specializing in investment selection and investing for growth and income. His focus is helping clients pursue their individual investment goals, whether preparing for retirement, saving for college, achieving a certain net worth, or generating investment income for retirement. Each of his clients receives a custom-tailored financial blueprint; there are no “cookie-cutter” solutions. Sean is a very passionate and dedicated advisor and runs his practice on a creed of PRIDE, HONESTY, and COMMITMENT.

Sean graduated from The State University of Geneseo where he majored in Business Administration and Economics. At Geneseo, and since he was four years old, he played ice hockey. He brings many valuable lessons with him from his time on the ice, including teamwork, dedication, and a strong work ethic. When Sean is not in the office or traveling to see clients, he can be found at home with his family. Sean lives in Lockport with his wife, Colleen, and their three children: Liam, Tyler and Claire. He is the Vice President of both Lockport Community Services, Inc., and The Cornerstone Ice Arena and is extremely active with other local service committees, including the Historic Lockport Millrace.

Sean holds the CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ ), APMA® (Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor℠) and AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) designations and has achieved his series 6, 7, 63, 65, and 66 registrations . He is currently registered in AR, CA, DE, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MI, NC, NY, OH, PA, UT, and VA.

With over six years of experience, Sam is renowned for delivering personalized, high-quality service to real estate agents, investors, contractors, and various business owners. His expertise focuses on crafting tax strategies that minimize liabilities while ensuring full compliance with the latest regulations.

Sam has successfully guided numerous clients, from small-scale real estate investors to large development firms and small businesses to growing enterprises. He understands the urgency in these sectors and is committed to providing timely, accurate advice, whether for a quick question or a detailed tax planning session.

Seth possesses six years of experience as a Registered Investment Adviser and Tax Preparer, during which he has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with his clients. Since associating with HD Financial Specialists in 2021, he has been instrumental in formulating customized financial strategies that effectively balance growth and appreciation while minimizing tax implications. His distinctive ability to integrate accounting proficiency with investment expertise enables him to provide exceptional value to individual and small business clients, differentiating him within the financial services sector.

Seth earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from the University at Buffalo (UB). During his academic tenure, he initiated his career as an accounting intern at Tops Friendly Markets, where he successfully combined his interests in accounting and investment management. This foundational experience has shaped his comprehensive approach to financial advising.

Seth’s background as a multi-sport athlete has shaped how he works with others. His experience has given him a unique way of teaming up, making collaboration natural and easy. He grew up passionate about ice hockey, playing locally for the Buffalo Regals AAA team and later competing in Junior A hockey with the Junior Sabres. Besides hockey, Seth enjoys golfing and values spending quality time with his friends and family.

Dina Dalton*

HD Health Solutions Co-Owner · Health Insurance Consultant

As Co-Owner, Dina leads the team at HD Health Solutions, which is committed and focused on providing individual Medicare solutions for mature individuals.

In her role as Health Insurance Consultant, she and the staff at HD Health Solutions, help each individual review all Medicare options available to them. Dina has spent her 25-year career in the financial services industry. With that she brings a background in compliance and financial planning. She understands that preparing for and living in retirement is vital to fulfilling each individual’s second chapter of life.

She earned her B.S. degree from The Ohio State University with a major in communications.

Dina lives in Williamsville, New York, where she and her husband of 24 years have raised a son and daughter. She loves watching her children play sports, fitness, and traveling.

Wendy Phelps*

Director of Client Operations

Wendy is the team’s Director of Client Operations, an absolutely essential piece of the HD puzzle. Wendy manages all essential forms, client submissions, withdrawals for clients, as well as required minimum distributions, office staff, client account activities, client meeting preparations and updates to the client management system. She ensures client problems are resolved in a timely manner and to their utmost satisfaction. All in all, Wendy makes sure the firm runs smoothly.

Lindsey Garris*

Director of Client Communications

The smiling face when you walk in is Lindsey, having run the team’s front desk for two years. She greets visitors and answers inbound calls to the company. Along with that, Lindsey also schedules appointments, maintains client files, confirms meetings, creates and sends special client care packages and ensures tax season runs smoothly.
